WEEK 3 - COPING WITH WORKLOAD AND THE COURSE!
It has been a hectic week! How tiring, creative and stressful at the same time!
Of course, it wasn't because of the course I'm attending but my job requirements. I had an assessment interview for my teaching position. Also, we're heading towards the end of the school year here in Greece (lessons end on May 15th) and the beginning of exam period from 21st May to 14th June. Thankfully this Friday (26th) we have our Easter break, celebrating the Orthodox Easter and I will have more time to devote on the course and assimilate the wonderful things I've been learning so far!
So, to be honest, I did all the tasks and projects hurriedly this week! However, I really like Delicious tool for bookmarking and I'm planning to explore its possibilities further. When I'm reading my e-classmates notes I realize how many experiences, thoughts we can share and I take notes when people suggest things that I can try and experiment with.
So, let's keep up the good work!

Hi Maria,
ReplyDeleteI think we all are busy with our job requirements, yet we still make time to complete our assignments. Isn't it amazing having friends from all over the world sharing knowledge with us? Looking forward to see what else can everyone offer. 'See you' in class!
Zahirah
Hello Maria,
ReplyDeleteI understand you very well. As Zahirah said, we all are very busy, but we find time for completing the tasks. It's amazing how many new things we discover and it redeems all our hard work.
Wishing us good time in our studies,
Jurgita
I am happy that you left a comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a busy week. It seems not easy to work as a teacher in Greece. From new reports, I thought government employees or teachers certainly enjoy high quality welfare, no matter how their work performance.
Actaully, in my country, being a teacher is really a priviledge. We don't have any form of evaluation to teachers. Plus, our salary and welfare are better than other businesses. Actually, a lot of teacher are idlling away, which is really abnormal.
Anyway, you and I are working hard on the course, I believe it is because we want to devote more to our students. And that's the worth of being a teacher.
Best regards
Chengkuo Yu
Hi Maria:
ReplyDeleteMany people are busy juggling different things in this class, don't worry. The asynchronous nature of the class allows you to at least have some choice about when you do your work for webskills. A lot of people skim through the extra websites and readings, making delicious marks or downloading things of interest that they look at later, after the class ends when they have more time. I hope you can use the things in here as a rich resource after the class ends, but please don't feel you need to master everything each week.
